N Preston occurs as rural community inside Halifax County, Nova Scotia. A community traces its origins to the immigration of previous Jamaican slaves in the 18th century. N Preston, along sustaining sister communities East Preston and Cherrybrook, is an economically depressed area by having an unemployment rate tremendously higher than a nearby city of Halifax. Among a notable residents of the community is heavyweight boxer Kirk Johnson.
